Panic Attacks

Every single time I say yes to a show I panic.
Not just a little but for dayssss.
I literally shake internally and make my whole family cRaZy.
When I'm not working on things I feel guilty. When I am working on things days go by without a shower or food.
This show I made everything in two and a half days. 36 hours straight.
I wore a big brown flax dress backwards the entire time.
Yep. I slept in it.
Cat napped really.
Not so magical as some other post seem right?

Also EVERY SINGLE show I say "Nerverrrr EVERRRR again"
until...
....the end of the show when I've gotten to spend the whole entire day with my very bestest of friends, in my dream setting, and $$$ is overflowing in my little brown box.

Saturday's show was at The Colonial Housefitter in Jamesville NY
Definitely put it on your must go list!!
You will LOVEEEEE Chris and her wonderful WONDERFULLLL primitives!

I soooo want to but every time I make stock I sell it.
Which is crazy but causes moreee panic.
Some days I just wanna be a mom and cooker and cleaner girl.
But I don't think I can ever stop this brain from creating.
Not ever.

Little things make big memories

I have a dear friend who is hurting so very bad.
It's hard to sit here and write.
Even more my message is to live life to the absolute fullest and cherish with all your heart the loved ones in your world.

My week seems so small compared to my friend's but it's the small things that give our lives color and joy and that are remembered most. The reasons for her pain. The memories that will bring her joy.

With love and prayers for comfort and peace.

When we bought our house 15 years ago the only things in our kitchen were an iron sink on legs in a corner and big old wood cook stove in the center.
The wood stove is what made me cry and beg Dave to buy the house but I knew a lot of the pioneer girl in me was just a little make believe and I'd need something else.
Finding this big white one was just perfect for my my 50's kitchen at that time.
As I went further back in time with my decorating I was still good with it.
Big and lotsss of room to work and I could feel the energy from all the delicious meals that were lovingly made on it throughout the years.

I LOVE THIS STOVE

Last year the thermostat in the oven broke and fixing it would cost half as much as a new stove.
It was a veryyyy hard decision to make but after starting to bake gluten free for our coffee shop and ruining so many baked goods I decided to get...can't even believe I'm saying this...a NEW one.
What helped is that my Lacy wants to fix it and have it in her life.
Hip Hip HOORAY!!!

I'm sad that I didn't name her Doris

AMAZING lifter straps!!

I love cute strong men
:)

Lacy protecting Doris

bye bye

Delights me to my toes
:)
Lacy used to be theee worst eater on the planet and now she is THEEEE most AMAZING cooker girl in all the land!!!
This week she applied for the job of Food Critic for our city's newspaper.
We all went with her to two restaurants this week so she could write essays for the application.
Which were terrific!
Fingers and toes and all the hairs on my head crossed that she gets this position!
She'd be GREAT!!!

It's going to take some getting used to.
Especiallyyy the "quick cook CHICKEN NUGGETS" button that I didn't see before ordering!
It has TWO oven though which I know I will love.
Dave is going to build a little cupboard for pans on the side.
Maybe they have some sort of tofu nuggets we can try.

This one looks like a Roger

Family FUN in NJ

Each Fall we take a ride to see my brother and his family in NJ.
Dave had a seminar this weekend so it was perfect timing.
I always get so excited as we approach his house. Even though I never lived there it feels like home.
My Mom is gone and and I feel closest to her when my brother and I are together.

Just look how pretty this all is!

Some of my favorite parts
My sister-in-law has amazinggg taste and magic runs through her when it comes to feathering her nest!

Words I live by

I have to ask Michele again what these are called.
Something about Sunday paintings done by women in the 40's
I could be allll wrong here...but Michele finds multiples of the sameee still life done by different artists in their own colors and styles.
These fascinate and sooth me

I not so secretly covet this Wendy Addison book.
I'm not even sure my Sister-in-law was born when I first started following Wendy!

...........................................................

Early Saturday morning Dave went off to his seminar

These two went to NY

...and I went to one of my most favorite places on Earth!
Michele's shop
Perch Home
!!!!!

It's no wonder!!
Come see!

I want to live here!!!

Bought a bunch of those Halloween photos
They get scary when you walk by them!

So should have gotten some of this!

Cute cute!!!

Without one doubt...something for eveyyyone!

LOVE

I love buying things just to get the bag!
Such a great logo!!

Life truly IS beautiful inside

Later that day I thought Frank and Michele had lost their minds when they agreed to an 8 family tent sleepover.
Maybe I'm just getting old but the thought of it made me shake and need a nap.
We drank the hard Cider all up the night before

It actually turned out to be so much FUN!

All the kids had grown up together in the same play group.
Michele made a slide show of their years together

Then we watched

ET
Perfect!

The morning after

Still trying to figure out which one was the first one up at 4am
...I think it really was 6 but it sooo felt like 4
Whatcha think? The one in the green shirt? Or the one with his head down...why do I think it musttt be a boy?
It was probably that adorable little curly haired blondie girly girl on the right!
Really cute kids :) They all had a blast!!

Not only did we awake to giggling kids and bathroom construction
There was an Artist across the street painting a picture of the house!

Do you think he thought he was in trouble as I approached snapping his pic?
This blogging has the camera growing out of my hand and attached to my eyeball

He said it was his wife's favorite house and he's always wanted to paint it
Perch Home is also her favorite shop!
He bought her an apron there hoping she'd cook more but "all she did was look good in it"
SOOO LOVE THIS!!!!

Dave came home Sunday with his new instrument.
Boys will be boys and they just haddd to try it out!
Toby doesn't know it yet but I feel it in my bones that Chiropractic is in his future
..that or some star wars thing or a rock star

Miracle shoulder fixing

Before heading home we went back to Perch!

and then had theeee most delicious wood fired oven pizza for lunch!!

Thank you Frank for alwayssss making me laugh and feel at home in your heart. To you Michele for filling my head with so much inspiration that when I come home I'm manic and on a creative high for daysss.
To Lucia and Toby for keeping us young.
I love you all so dearly
