Displaced

Milli and Boy Boy left for the Cape this week
It was especially sad because after the summer their lives will take a different turn.
The life we have known for the past 9 months has ended.
Grateful for loads of totally AMAZING memories and shared love
Excited for new adventures!
...trying hard to stop the tears
x o x

We all cried buckets on Friday
I don't do well with change AT ALL
Life gives and takes
Today I am still feeling greatly displaced
Who am I. What was I doing 9 months ago. Where am I going.

After 54 years I finally know a little bit how to protect my heart
Get so busy and tired you can't think.

Yesterday was my friend Janet's Country Antique Sale. I was just going to be a looker and a shopper but at the last minute said yes when she asked me to bring my Hidden Pond Farm Pantry items.
Frantically finishing mixing, packaging, and labeling Friday after the kids left, my friend Nancy called and said I MUST drop everything and get to this show she was at!
I hadn't showered, only had 3 and 3/4 hrs. of sleep, was in my pajama clothes, and I was WAY behind
But I smudged some lipstick on my cheeks jumped in the car and off I went
Always trusting the "MUST go!"

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!
In the middle of nowhere is this incredible old stone schoolhouse home that was hosting a
Spring Art Show of local Artisans

Entrance

Inside I snapped a few pics here in there when I could think to lift my jaw and focus
It was utterly amazing!

Artisans were set up throughout the long art inspired home

One of I think five jewelry designers
I don't even know how many or if I even saw it all
I had one hour to drive 20 minutes, look, and zoom back home!

Designs like this have been dancing in my head these past months
Loved!

This whole section of the house was decorated with frame corners
One of the owner's many businesses

My girls and I LOVEEE and will never have enough of!

 Michelle

The kitchen

Really loved the kitchen but I was the only camera freak there so I had to really control myself

Looking down from upstairs
Barbed wire "railing"

Metal Hummingbird and Dragon Fly garden stakes
I bought a Humming Bird...10.00!

 One of many bedrooms
While I was frantically running around sucking it all in I kept missing tours

Musicians in the garden

Leaving one world
going home to another

Finishing up and then off to set up

My tiny "booth"

Such a difference between the Stone House Gallery and this Early Primitive antique lovers feast
I am caught between BOTH worlds

Silhouettes and Mortar and Petals send me

Was SO EXCITED Walker Homestead was there!!

  6. Oh Cindy! The pottery, the pottery! I loves it! I used to be a potter back in Montreal and I always drool over other potter's work! These two places were awesome! A very lucky lady to have places like these close by!
And cry if you want too. Boy Boy, who is now a young man (Man Man?) will return to see you. Wings do not grow unless they're used. :-) HUGS!

  9. Had so much fun meeting and visiting with you, loved your booth, the show and your town! Such wonderful people... your shots came out much better than mine (evidently the lights messed with my focus!)... I wanted to buy the whole lot of old packaged herbs and pharmacy stuff, no surprise that they grabbed you, too! Still love your blog and so glad to have met you <3
