Downtown Dining Week

Lacy asked me to go out to Dining Week Wednesday night
25.00 for a three course meal at select restaurants in the city
I was cold and tired and just didn't think it was thaaat great of a deal
BUT when one of the chicks chirps, Mama bird comes a runnin!

We both chose Thai

Simple little arrings I made her earlier in the day
She's such a jewelry maker girl and I was secretly trying to get her inspired to start creating again ;)

 pretty <3

We had such a hard time deciding our appetizer, salad, and entrée
So we asked our server what he thought
After he recited theeee perfect choices we decided differently on our own
He walked away and mumbled "Didn't listen to one word I said..."
We did WE DID we just thought we should have your traditional Thai dishes instead of the specials!

 Tuna Tartare
Spring Rolls
...so far so good

 SOOO good!

 Salad with peanut dressing
Good but not WOW
...where's my tomato?

Just look at my cooker child's face
Shoulda listen to the words he said she's thinkin'
Red Curry and Pad Gra Pow
It was good but sooo not wow

Wish we would have gotten this!
Yellow Fin Tuna with Chili Tamarind Sauce
...Lacy snuck a pic of our neighbors :)
They asked us if we were from a magazine. We said no but decided from now on we'd say YES

Desert
No tummy room
No prices
...could blow the whole "deal"
Our server came by and insisted we try The Lost Slipper
Not to aggravate him again we said yes
Thought we'd take a bite and take the rest home

 Umm

 Look at my Child's face
First off, this is so not us
Way too frou frou!
...we're more crème brûlée or warm chocolate something
Second how the hey would we take it home?!
Or ONE bite?

While I'm here...
That cake cooking show reeeally bothers me
YUCK would you everrrr want to eat one of those things?
Blue. I so don't eat anything blue but berries

For us it was like that cake show
More art than food
BUT it made Mr. Server veryyy happy
:)

On our way to our cars
"Lace, get in that!!"
:)

"YOU GO SURFER GIRL!"
Mommy yelling cross the city

We reeeally thought that slipper was going to be around 25.00!

How's that thing go?
Turquoise Earrings made by mama $??
Dining Week Special 50.00
Lost Slipper thing $11.50

Spending an evening laughing our heads off

Priceless beyond imagination
