The only words my eyes saw online Monday morning were Sharon Springs is having a Beekman Boys Season 2 Premier Party!
No matter what, I was going!
My Lacy girl said she would too if she could get permission to go into work late the next morning
"We'll probably go out for drinks with everyone after and will need to stay the night" she said
After all the back and forth arrangements were made, I had 10 minutes to get a ride to catch a bus into Syracuse where Lacy would pick me up at 4:00 and we would start our 1 1/2 hour journey to THE PREMIER!
At the bus stop I reached in my pocket and found our car keys! We only have one car...Dave's Environmental thing, and he would neeeed the keys early the next morning!
PANIC
I thought about putting them in that buy a newspaper box but then I thought someone might bring them to the Police station (why did I capitalize Police...am I supposed to??)
Then I looked around for a bush or a plant. Crack in the sidewalk. SOMEthing
With each panic second the bus was getting closerrrr
Behind me was a coffee shop
I ran in, thew the keys to Kay the owner, shouted out crazy words, and ran back out.
...proud I still had some smarts left
It was sort of dreary and misty and no one was on the streets EXCEPT for my cRaZy friend Gail who came walking up towards me at my bus waiting post.
When I first found out about the Beekman Boys NO one in town knew about them but Gail!
THIS was an Omen I thought for FABULOUS adventures ahead!
For her, it was pure iNsAnItY as to what I was doing!
I'm such a stupid bus taker. Didn't know the dollar slider inner thing didn't give change. I would have if the bus driver told me. And didn't know that I would have to change buses to end up in my final destination. Didn't tell me that either.
A normal 20 min car ride took 1 hour and 20 minutes to dump me off across the City from where I was supposed to be. In the rain, with 1 cell phone battery bar thing left...
For the entire trip! Premier, festivities after, and the trip home!
I quick called and left a new pick up message for Lace.
With 45 minutes to spare, I went shopping. I didn't have one second to change when I got home from work and what I was wearing was sooo not Premier special. So I went into my FAVORITE little shop, Off The Beaten Path, and with the help of the girl working there, bought myself a glorious Premier shawl!
...she LOVED the story!
I get in the car with Lacy and she loves my shawl and we both decide it was meant to be that she went to work that day wearing the cutest outfit ever!
All the stars and moons were lining up!
...except that Lacy didn't have any earrings on.
But I thought I could fashion some out of things in my purse, or from a gas station, or SOMEthing.
We could share mine and only show one side of our heads if we HAD to
It'd be all ok
On our drive we fantasized what it would be like when we got there
Farmer John and Jason would be there
...that's what I read that morning
Brent and Josh wouldn't be there at first but then SURPRISE everyone!
I would get to see my friend Maria, the guys from The American Hotel would be in the front row, and we'd meet all the Beekman Blondes
What would the place look like? OMgosh the decorations!
The food...we wondered who would cater it and if there'd be any gluten free. Probably.
Maybe after celebrating with everyone Josh and Brent would invite us to stay at the Mansion!!
Before we knew it we were there!
One hour before showtime so I showed Lacy around the town
Which at 6pm was closed up tighter than a Brent Ridge To Do list!
She loved seeing the Beekman 1802 shop and driving up the cute streets passed the big old Boarding Houses

Then, more than anything, I HATE doing THIS
But had to show her
And Honest to God, only took a pic for this story
Last year I already did this and felt soooo creepy
...when the Baldwin brothers Alec and Billy come into where I work I won't even look at them. When they buy something I ask for their frequent buyer number like I'd ask any other person who lives in town
There really is a privacy line with famous people that bothers me when crossed
Home for Josh and Brent
Looking on my ipad for directions for The Premier Party location,
my eyes saw more words than I had seen that morning...
Hosted by The Historical Society at Mary's Church next to Walmart
By now Lacy and I were wondering what the heck I got us into
should we leave?
...until
"OH MY GOD THERE'S FARMER JOHN'S TRUCK!"
Quickly we ran in before they could park, and settled into FRONT ROW seats like they were meant for usss
That's what the sweet first woman we met said..."Front row for you after driving 2 hours to get here!" :)
Really, How CUTE is THIS?!
Everyone in town came!
...mayyybe those are famous children??
:)
Refreshments
so cute
Special :) front row seats
Historical Society minutes and future plans
We loved her
Finally!
Quickly forgot all that we had imagined in the car
soooo EXCITED!
I tried sooo hard not to look like a freak and take too many pics
...plus I only had time to grab my crappy camera :( :( :(
not sneaky enough
We loveee Farmer John on the show but in real life he scared us a bit
He was quiet and we were sooo shy
Going to the Hardware Store
...our favorite scene

Josh and Brent never came
Neither did the Blondes or American Boys
We didn't go out drinkin' and we didn't stay over night
But meeting John and Jason and this man, Jason's talented, sweet, funnyyyy Dad,
was all we needed for a FABULOUS night!!
...except for some fooood! And NO one knew of where we could get some!
...3/4 of the way home we gave up and stopped here
Organic healthy eating right out the window
Our own Beekman Premier party the next night!
Old-fashioned meat loaf (farmhouse-y) made with Beekman Onion Jam, Salad with goat cheese (the goats!) and apples (how they found The Beekman), mashed potatoes (when all's Josh wanted to do was plant his potatoes), and three flavors of goat milk ice cream for showtime!
Oh and "Hair of the Llama" cocktail for the Sipping Game
Shredded zucchini, diced onion, red pepper, garlic and S+P
Sauteed in a little olive oil
Cooled a bit and mixed with 2lbs ground beef, about a cup of Parmesan cheese, 1 egg, lots of chopped parsley, basil,, bread crumbs, dash of Worcestershire sauce and balsamic vinegar, a little more S+P
Pat half the meatloaf mixture in the center of the pan
We use a cast iron skillet
Top with Beekman Onion Jam
Form rest of meatloaf on top
For topping, mis some catchup, balsamic vinegar, and more onion jam
Spread over top
Bake i hour at 355 degrees
Dinner!
BEST meatloaf ever!
