Ring in.

Happy NEW year!!
It is with my love and gratitude for you, my friends here, who took the wondrous, kinda bumpy, sometimes spooooky (what's with this chick?), ride with me last year.
..And you didn't jump! while I was speeding along without a map, or seat belt, and totally blindfolded!
Your letters, emails, comments, visits, and gifts on my porch, cheered me on, kept me smilin',
And kept me Alive. Truly.

(It's that Mayan calendar thing, I just know it!!!)

2011. A year of fear and confusion like I've never felt before.
But also a year of extreme happiness and growth like never, evereverever, before.
Total disappearance of creativity and inspiration, to, right now, soooo much inspiration that I feel like I'm going to pop!

You are in the darkness and your friends come by and lift you out into the sun and tell you that stuff about doors and windows closing and opening, and all you can do is try and find your breath.
your balance.
But they are right.
Whether standing in the warmth of the Light or behind the shadow of darkness, both bring their own treasures.

...that Frou Frou song..Let Go
There really is beauty..suchsuch beauty
in the breakdown.

No resolutions this year.
They are kinda negative and make you feel so icky when you can't keep them.
Made a little list of dreams and inspiration.
This year I'm getting Completely outta the driver seat. Praying for the very best for All to be.
Letting go.with Trust
...And coming up with some crazy daydreamwishes for Spirit to pick from while he/she/it's
takin' over the wheel.

Wednesday it was like SpRiNg here!
Walked and walked for hours
On the way to our nature trail I past through..yes the cemetery.

Love. Real love. Never ends.

In the book Eat Pray Love, Elizabeth writes of one defining word. For a place. For yourself.
This year, my word is Devotion
Devotion to finding the Sacred in all.
Yoga and Kirtan participation brings me into the Sacred.

New Year's Eve day I went to a Yoga Kirtan Celebration at CNY Healing Arts Center
And New Year's day, another celebration at Pure and Simple Yoga in Cortland
Couldn't think of a more perfect way to Ring in the new year!

  4. Where are your favorite cemeteries? ..I love the one in Bennington Vt. and one recently discovered not far from me. Bird Cemetery.
Adore the old thin stones with Angels and willows.

  5. When I was a 13 year old my best Friend and I would visit a beautiful old cemetery in Fenton, Mi (Well we were actually visiting her brother and family but we would "take a walk" and we actually, really and TRULY came upon a few spirits (this was in broad daylight). Other old cemeteries in Yale, Harrisville, Emmett and the one closest to me in Mt. Clemens all in Michigan. I LOVE the statues, the inscriptions and the peace. We actually have organized Cemetery Walks--where people portray the dearly departed.

I've been to one cemetery walk here that school kids put on near Halloween. It was wonderful.
